Part I: Formation Evaluation using Techlog software (4 Days):
Course Agenda:-
- Examples applied to (Clastics & Non-clastics reservoirs (Tight)).
- Examples applied to (Oil & Gas reservoirs).
Day 1:-
• Database setup, Quality Control data and Loading data (from DLIS or LAS files).
• Data presentation.
• Depth Match between different well data (WL, LWD,…).
• Curve Splicing (merge) between different log runs.
• Lithology identification from wireline logs & using different cross plots.
• Different methods for Reservoir zonation.
• Create temperature curve & temperature gradient.
• Determination of fundamental petrophysical parameters (Rw, m,n,..)
Day 2 (Quanti):-
• Shale volume calculations.
• Determination of clay minerals using different cross plots.
• Porosity models & calculation methods.
• Saturation models & calculation methods.
• Cut-off and Summation.
• Cross plots for Lithology, porosity and oil/water/gas saturation.
Day 3: - (Quanti-Elan)
• Initialization.
• Construction of Formation Evaluation models.
Day 4:-
• Combining formation evaluation model.
• Post Processing.

• Software- Demo Practical 2nd Session
• 3D empty structural modeling workflow- Structural Framework process, Segmentation/compartmentalization’s, Domain Conversion, Make zones, & Layering.
• Volume –Based modeling (VBM)
• Structural and Stratigraphic Framework – Model Elements
• Deterministic and Probabilities techniques
• Depth Conversion – Velocity model
Day 8:-
• Geostatistics – (What, Why, Keys, & applications)
• Software- Demo Practical 3rd Sessions
• Upscale Well Log- Continuous & Discrete logs
• Data Analysis
• Variance, Correlation Coefficients, Variogram and Anisotropy
• Algorithms – Methods
• What is the Property Modeling?
• Facies Modeling; (Object, Pixel-based, SIS, TGS,…etc) methods

• Continue – Property distribution
